Structure and principle of J1939 male to female cable

The J1939 protocol is a communication standard used for commercial vehicles and other heavy vehicles. J1939 male to female cables are used to connect devices that comply with the J1939 protocol, enabling signal transmission and data communication, and enabling different devices to communicate and work together.

Structure and Principle

Structure: Usually composed of cable body, J1939 male and female heads. The cable body contains multiple wires used to transmit different signals, such as data signals, power signals, etc. Wires are usually made of high-quality copper to ensure good conductivity and signal transmission quality. The outer layer is wrapped with insulating materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PU), etc., which provide insulation and protection to prevent signal interference and short circuits.

Principle: Insert the J1939 male head into the female socket of one end of the device, and insert the female head into the male socket of the other end of the device to establish a physical connection. During the communication process, following the J1939 protocol, data is encoded, transmitted, and decoded according to specific formats and rules to achieve information exchange between devices.
